“Everyone has a right to their P’tit Tradi!
An ingenious paring knife that you won’t want to be without.
To try it is to adopt it, both in the kitchen and at the table!
The ‘Le P’tit Tradi’ knife was developed by Coutellerie GOYON-CHAZEAU in memory of the knives used by Magali’s grandmother, the current director of the cutlery business.
Handmade in the GOYON-CHAZEAU workshop, located in the heart of Thiers city region (French capital for cutlery making), this knife perfectly combines tradition and modernity, quality and aesthetics.
If you’re looking for a small kitchen knife or paring knife with high-quality, functional and durable, the P’tit Tradi is the knife you need.
Â
Â
GOYON-CHAZEAU is a family cutlery business that has been perpetuating the cutlery-making tradition for 3 generations.
Thiers city area, France’s cutlery capital, is the birthplace of our traditional cutlery workshop.
Each of our knife is made ‘by eye and by hand’, with particular attention to detail, guaranteeing technical performance, aesthetic appeal and exceptional quality.
Â
GOYON-CHAZEAU has always worked in an eco-circuit thanks to the performance of the Thiers cutlery basin. The company also favours local, then French, then European materials, and ensures that they are sustainable in order to reduce its environmental footprint as much as possible.
Each knife is handmade by less than 5 craftsmen using traditional techniques handed down from generation to generation.
And when the knife shows signs of weakness after many uses, GOYON-CHAZEAU cutlery explores the possibilities of refurbishment or repair.
Â
The P’tit Tradi stands out for its sober, elegant design, but it’s much more than that. Its high-carbon stainless steel blade (14C28N) ensures a precise, high-performance, long-lasting cut, enhanced by a full double grinding (V-shaped blade).
Its handle, available in 4 noble woods (olive, walnut, ebony and ebony with sapwood), is worked and polished by hand to ensure comfort, authenticity and refinement.
Â
The P’tit Tradi is a knife made from full tang cut steel, meaning that the blade extends the full length and width of the handle, increasing the knife’s strength.
The blade has a full double grinding : a ‘V’ running the full height of the blade, from the back to the edge.
The handle is made up of two riveted wooden plates. It is shaped and polished by hand.
Â
Â
The P’tit Tradi is a paring knife designed to meet everyday needs. From picking in the garden to peeling vegetables, from cutting before cooking to eating at the table, it offers great versatility. And it’s elegant in every situation!
Â
To keep your P’tit Tradi knife in perfect condition, year after year, it’s essential to follow a few maintenance recommendations.
Â
Â
Â
Countless people have told us ‘I can’t do without it, it’s my knife at home’!
P’tit Tradi users praise its looks, cutting quality and workmanship. Many appreciate the thinness of its blade and its comfortable grip. The P’tit Tradi is often cited as a kitchen essential for amateurs and seasoned cooks alike: ‘Everyone is entitled to their own P’tit Tradi’!
