This Le Thiers Pirou Luxury pocket knife has a blade made of Sumingashi VG10 steel. This Japanese 'sandwich' steel features 66 layers of stainless steel and a VG10 core, which contains more than 1% carbon for exceptional sharpness and a distinctive Japanese aesthetic.

The handle is made of mammoth molar at the centre and camel bone at the ends. Both materials are stained and stabilised brown/green. They are reinforced by black spacers and stainless steel inserts.

Mammoth molar is sourced from the frozen ground of the Arctic regions of Europe and North America.
It is coloured and stabilised to highlight the different strata that make up its beauty and value.

The camel bone, coloured in similar tones, complements the lighter hues of the molar, accentuating its beauty.

Non-contractual photos. Your knife will be made to order; the materials we use will be explained to you prior to manufacture if they differ from those shown in the photos.
